In the final game of the season, the top two teams in the 4S Wester Slope Division, the Glenwood Springs Demons and Battle Mountain Huskies, battled for the win. In a preview game for the playoffs, the Huskies came out on top beating the Demons 6-2. The Huskies jumped with claws extended, quickly scoring two goals before Glenwood got on the board. The Demons then fought back at the half scoring two goals to tie it up, courtesy of German Alvarado and Justin Garces.

After the half, the Huskies bit back at the Demons, scoring three more goals in order to make the game 6-2. The game stayed this way until the end, the Huskies fighting tooth and nail to keep it that way. In a ‘ruff’ game for Glenwood, Carlos Guadardo gave up a season-high six goals in what is the final regular season game for the Demons before the playoffs. The Demons now sit at a record of 7-2-3 and are ranked 9th in their class with the playoff seedings being announced Sunday.
