With the lacrosse season fully underway, the Glenwood Demons Lacrosse team is ready to once again compete under the always competitive 4A Western Lacrosse standings. With the team having had a rough go at it in recent years, the demons will look to finally break through under the experience of this year’s seniors.

Currently sitting at (2-3) in the season, the demons still have enough games left in the season to make a run for the playoffs. Led by seniors Max Lemkau, Foster Lemkau, Ian Lohman, and devlin Powell, Glenwood should be able to fair well against their division rivals.

After dropping a difficult 12-0 and 14-7 loss to Steamboat Springs, Glenwood rebounded with a much needed 14-12 win over division rival Vail Mountain to move up in the standings. As of now Glenwood sits No. 24 in rpi according to CHSAA, only needing to move into the top 16 to make a playoff appearance.

“Our goal right now is to continue to win games, and make it to the playoffs for the first time in years,” said Senior, Henry Barth. “The seniors are stepping up and acting like true captains and leaders.”

Glenwood will face off against 6 division foes down the road in hopes of sneaking into the playoff tournament and making a deep run.
