On November 10, 2017 Glenwood Springs High School(GSHS) held its annual Veteran’s Day assembly. The occasion was marked by performances by both the GSHS choir and concert band, an honored speaker, and the traditional recognition of the veterans in attendance.

The assembly’s continued use and attendance speak volumes to the importance of the occasion, and the continued commitment of the community to recognize and support those who served. This idea was stressed by the honored speaker, Rhonda Moser, a former member of the Navy Judge Advocate General’s(JAG) Corps, who spoke not only of the benefits of a military career but the debt that American citizens owe to the armed forces defending their freedoms.

The warm reception given to both Moser as well as the all the veterans at the ceremony restores the hope that both Glenwood Springs and small communities nationwide will provide for their veterans to the best of their ability.

Above is a portion of the band’s full performance.
